You don’t have to be 100% sure of your identity. Ever.
You don’t have to run yourself into the ground trying to pull yourself apart and figure out the words. And it’s okay to be nervous instead of excited about a new discovery, because hey, it can be scary. You’re allowed to experiment, you’re allowed to question, you’re allowed to dwell on it as much or as little as you want because it is your feelings, your self, your identity.
You deal with it and wear it like you want to, because it’s yours.
“It is the height of irony that women are valued for our looks, encouraged to make ourselves beautiful and ornamental and are then derided as shallow and vain for doing so.”—Greta Christina (via feminishblog)
“There are times when I’m alone and I think, this is it. This is actually the natural state. All I need are my thoughts and my small acts of creation and my ability to go or do whatever I want to go or do. I am myself, and that is the point. Pairing is a social construction. It is by no means necessary for everyone to do it. Maybe I’m better like this.”—David Levithan, The Lover’s Dictionary (via asexyquotes)
